W ubiegłym tygodniu ramach 2 spotkania EMPIRII – sieci wymiany doświadczeń organizowanego przez Związek Miast Polskich odwiedziliśmy Konin. Tu płynie energia. Był to wyjątkowy czas, bo poznaliśmy wyjątkowych ludzi.
A wszystko zaczęło się w Centrum Organizacji Pozarządowych w Koninie, ogromne wrażenie zrobiła na nas Akademia Życia i Samodzielności – mieszkania treningowe, gdzie osoby niepełnosprawne pomimo przeciwności losu uczą się samodzielności.
Dzięki Maciejowi i jego kolegom z Fundacja imienia Doktora Piotra Janaszka PODAJ DALEJ mogliśmy zmierzyć się z problemami dostępności z jakimi na co dzień zmagają się osoby niepełnosprawne – łatwo nie było…
Mieliśmy również okazję do rozmów z Burmistrzem Konina Piotrem Korytkowskim oraz Młodzieżową Radą o aktywności młodzieży w życiu miasta i wzajemnej współpracy. Poznaliśmy miejscówkę konińskiej młodzieży Stowarzyszenie M-LAB, gdzie rodzą się ich pomysły i gdzie spędzają swój wolny czas.
Poza aktywnymi warsztatami był też czas na poznanie siebie nawzajem i wymianę doświadczeń.

2nd EMPIRIE meeting – the network for exchange of experiences – TOWN OF CITIZENS
Last week, as part of the 2nd EMPIRIA meeting – the network for exchange of experiences organized by the Association of Polish Towns and Cities, we were visiting Konin. Energy flows here. It was a special time as we had an opportunity to meet truly exceptional people.
And it all started in the Center of Non-Governmental Organizations in Konin: we were impressed by the Academy of Life and Self-Reliance – training apartments, where people with disabilities are learning to become self-reliant, despite adversities.
Thanks to Maciej and his colleagues from PODAJ DALEJ Doktor Piotr Janaszek Foundation we could experience the accessibility problems faced by people with disabilities daily – and it was not easy …
We also had the opportunity to talk with the Mayor of Konin, Mr Piotr Korytkowski and the Youth Council about the activity of young people in the life of the town and their mutual cooperation. We got to know the favourite meeting place of Konin’s youth: M-LAB Association where their ideas are born and where they spend their free time.
Apart from active workshops, there was also time to get to know each other and exchange experiences.
