14 czerwca 2023 r. odbyła się miejska gra rowerowa w ramach projektu norweskiego „Żary, tu chcę żyć!!!”. Hasłem przewodnim gry było „Żary są naj”
W grze wzięło udział 10 zespołów z żarskich szkół. Każda drużyna otrzymała pakiet: koszulka, napój, przekąska, mapa miasta, gazeta z treścią gry oraz karta zadań.
Celem gry było zapoznanie się uczestników z infrastrukturą rowerową miasta oraz ciekawymi miejscami, a także promowanie dobrej zabawy i przyjaznej rywalizacji.
Uczestnicy stali się bohaterami gry miejskiej. Ich planszą było miasto, a oni sami pionkami. Zadaniem każdej z drużyn było dotarcie do 12 punktów kontrolnych i wykonanie określonych zadań w czasie 2,5 godz. Wszystkie drużyny zmieściły się w regulaminowym czasie i dotarły bezpiecznie do mety.
Fabuła gry opierała się na stworzeniu w mieście nowej gazety, do której poszukiwani są profesjonalni pracownicy. Zwycięzcy mieliby dostać angaż w czasopiśmie „Goniec Żarski”.
Nagrody wszystkim uczestnikom wręczyła Danuta Madej Burmistrz Miasta Żary, a zwycięzcy otrzymali nagrody dodatkowe. Dla wszystkich przygotowany był poczęstunek.

Żary is THE BEST
On June 14, 2023, an urban bicycle game was played as part of “Żary, I want to live here!!!” Norwegian project. The theme of the game was: “Żary is the best”
10 teams from Żary schools took part in the game. Each team received a package that included: a T-shirt, a drink, a snack, a map of the town, a newspaper with the game content and a task card.
The aim of the game was to familiarize the participants with the bicycle infrastructure of the town and its interesting places, as well as to promote fun and healthy competition.
The participants became the heroes and heroines of the town game. Their board was the town itself, and they themselves were pawns. The task of each team was to reach 12 checkpoints and complete specific tasks within 2.5 hours. All the teams completed the game within the set time and crossed the finish line safely.
The plot of the game revolved around the creation of a new newspaper in the town, for which professional employees were sought. The winners were to get a job in “Goniec Żarski” newspaper.
Ms Danuta Madej, the mayoress of the town of Żary, awarded all participants with prizes, and the winners received additional prizes. There were also refreshments for everyone.
